gentlemonkey
sounds fun... what about philip seymour hoffman? yes meggo! I love P-S-H! I love how most of his characters are loathsome yet loveable. Ms Hux- Dont forget "Money Pit!" or "Outrageous Fortune". Should also have a 'first movie you saw by yourself'- night. I think mine was 'ernest goes to camp'.
bradm
Should also have a 'first movie you saw by yourself'- night. I think mine was 'ernest goes to camp'.Or a "first 'R'-rated movie you saw in a theatre (legally or because you managed to sneak in)"-night. I think mine was "Risky Business".Aloha,Brad
Ms.Huxtable
The first movies that I saw by myself were Crocodile Dundee and Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

gentlemonkey
Funny you should mention that one Bradm, the first time I saw 'Risky Business' I KNEW, I'd be one day married to Tom Cruise. Or at least that I'd be a dedicated Scientologist.
Booche
Belushi night!Actually, that might be a bad idea. No one will hear squat. I laugh too hard at seemingly (to the untrained eye) nothing.Yeah Polk. I am in for a couple. The Eddie Murphy choices are a bit bizarre but who cares....... AdamH
Fuck I'm stupid.I blanked out on a Wes Anderson Night (Rushmore>Tenenbaums)Yes I agree with every other choice except for Shelley Long. In terms of a venue I'm in good with The Honest Lawyer but some of you Neroheads probably have better connections. Ideally we'd have about 30 or 40 people each put in 3 bucks to go towards screen and movie rentals and snacks, and if a bar can host it as a fundraiser and give a portion of drink sales to the cause that would be ideal too. It would be nice to drink beer and have some laughs and give $100 in support of an arts organization or something. This seems like something geared to fall /winter so I'm thinking late October and November for the first night. If that goes well we'll try and do others.
Ms.Huxtable
Wes Anderson? How about Wes Craven?I used to act out Nightmare on Elm Street with my friends in our back yard. We were strange children.
Booche
Yeah, I aint going to any of them unless you decide to do a Cheech and Chong night. That's my stance.
AdamH
Then you better start warming up the couch cushion hippie. They're funny and all, but not really that funny if you know what I mean.
SteveThe Owl
Love the idea. If it's not a work night for me, the Owlette and would love to kick in. If you have a Belushi night, you gotta play 1941 -- stinkiest Spielberg flick, but still good sloppy fun (I love the "check for stilts" line). And speaking of Aykroyd, I have a real soft spot for "Dr. Detroit".Does it all have to be comedy (not that I really mind)? What about a really bad Stallone flick (hmmm, let me think...), and encourage shouting stuff at the screen Rocky Horror-style?
