MarcO Posted October 13, 2005 Report Share Posted October 13, 2005 Waters had gotten so pissed off at the whole stadium touring biz, where half the audience was screaming and monged out, and it reached a head at this Montreal show, where he had particular disgust with one fan in particular. So he spit in his face.the story goes that after the show, Waters' was so upset with himself at exhibiting such poor behaviour that he vowed never to return to the stadium touring circuit again and he began to meditate on the notion that the band might as well have been playing behind a giant wall, since there was such a disconnect between what they were doing and how the audience was reacting.ergo, the seeds of what would become The Wall two years later.
