Freeker
from jamhub.ca"We've changed our dates to the long weekend in August;4th-6th due to the conflicting possibilities with the bands and members that may be attending Buring Man.""Evolve may turn into a three day party this year if y'all can handle it! There is alot of talk of the changes that may take place for 2006 including; all acts finishing around 6am and not beginning until 1pm--- 7 hours of Peace and quiet! Gonna need rest for the long haul!; Steve from Sloco suggested, and said he'd donate his gear, to have a band stage that rocks through nightly. " Sounds good to me! Gateaux
That makes Evolve much more doable. The week before Moe.Down made it have to be a choicebetween the two and i'd always go with the .Down
Velvet
Ummm, Burning Man doesn't feature bands, and I find it odd that suddenly enough people have decided to take the drive from Nova Scotia to Nevada for this year's BM (which has apparently never topped 30,000 in attendance) that they've decided to change it. That said, I think it's not a bad idea, and the seven hours of no music is the greatest idea ever. Someone should have suggested that years ago.Unfortunately it means I'll never go, 'cuz it's the same weekend as Blue Skies.

I'll bet they are getting SCI. I'm pretty sure I've read that a few of them go to Burning Man every year.
dave-O
I'll bet they are getting SCI. I've heard talk of two nights of SCI.The Steve from Sloco bit is apparently he has volunteered to host some sort of late-night, multi-band collaboration/jam as an alternative to the DJs.
