SmoothedShredder
Put Hinske at 2nd Base...But Seriously... he's gone... Koskie and Hillenbrand will platoon at First and DH... maybe Hinskie will still around and be a feared bat off the bench...
Jaimoe
Hillenbrand is toast. They signed Overbay don't forget. Koskie will probably be moved to DH.The Red Sox will not be happy about this signing. As of today, they thought they had him. Here's an excerpt from today's Boston Herald:The Blue Jays were believed to be furthest along in talks with the Diamondbacks last night, but according to one executive who recently spoke with former Red Sox assisant GM and current Arizona GM Josh Byrnes, “I think he’s going to Boston, that’s what it sounds like.†
SmoothedShredder
oh yeah, overbay... man... it's going to be a fun year at the ball park!
MK
This rules! What a Xmas gift (along with my 10-game flex-pak). If I were J.P. I'd get rid of Catalanatto, move Hillenbrand to leftfield, DH Koskie, Reed Johnson to rightfield and trade Hinskie and Rios for prospects, eating whatever salary is needed to get rid of Hinskie.. Best off-season...ever! Glaus...I can't believe it. Dude hit 47 homers in 2000...wow. Wow: Adams Overbay Wells Glaus Koskie Hillenbrand Zaun Johnson Hill Wow: Doc AJ Gus Lilly JT ------- BJ Wow!!! jaxtraw
I don't like them giving up O-Dog though. I guess that will be Hill's new job. Looking forward to the season.

Hal Johnson
No one will really know how good this team will be untill they get MVP 2006 and play an entire season. For the record, this is what I think Ricciardi does and how he governs the team. If it's not what he's doing, he should probably start, cuz it would give him an idea of what he could do with Hinske. Hal Johnson
Hillenbrand is toast. They signed Overbay don't forget. Koskie will probably be moved to DH.Why on earth would you move Hillenbrand, instead of Koskie? If you say its cuz Koskie is a left handed bat I'll puke. Jaimoe
No team will take Koskie. He has two or three years left on his hefty contract, plus his injury-plagued 2005 season sucked ass. Shea is coming off an all-star year and he is a natural third-baseman. I believe Shea is in an arbitration year too. You can't move Shea over to first because of Overbay. Playing him in left-field would be stupid since he isn't a natural outfielder or a fast runner. He'd be the easiest player to move, plus the Jays will get at least something of substance for him.
Jaimoe
Plus, J.P. couldn't trade Hinske even for a bag of balls. Edited December 29, 2005 by Guest
Hal Johnson
I guess your right. Could probably get someone awesome in return for Shea too. I wouldnt sell Koskie too short though, theres most likely a team that would love to have him.
Booche
plus his injury-plagued 2005 season sucked ass.I gotta agree with Hal on this one. Injuries are one thing, but someone could take a chance. You talk a big game about Shea, but you did the same thing when they got Koskie.
Jaimoe
Until Koskie got to Toronto and got injured, he was a really good and reliable player.
