Poutine = Happy Sunday

ISTR hearing of a place (or reading it on a menu) in Ottawa that served smoked meat poutine (i.e., the usual fries/curd/gravy combination, but with added shredded Montreal-style smoked meat). Does anybody know the place about which I type?

There used to be a place at Place d'Orleans where you could get 100's of different kinds...even hotdogs!!!

I believe Elgin Street Diner has such a thing on the menu, but I think the place you are thinking of is Bigg's Deli, which I believe has gone the way of the dodo.

Oh yeah...Bigg's...there is still one at St. Laurent and Cyrville....I forgot they make a mean smoked meat too!

baj, if you read this, check out O'Neils on Upper Wellington, here in Hamilton.

They sell a mean, REAL, poutine, and they deliver....and will deliver a SINGLE POUTINE....

maybe its cause i live less than five minutes, and should be walking.....however.....
