Jitterbug Perfume

A request for those of you who have read and loved Jitterbug Perfume:

I've been talking to a lady who lives in New Orleans, who makes Voodoo potions and whatnot out of essential oils. She said that she can probably mix up something for me to resemble the perfume. jasmine and citrus aren't a problem, and she said she could probably find something to add a mysterious element for the basenote. She's never read the book, though, so she asked me to give her a passage of the book with a good description of the perfume. The problem is that I lent my copy of the book to a friend who is currently in Japan. So if any of you who have this book could post a short passage with a good description, I would REALLY appreciate it. I imagine she'd be able to make several batches if anyone else is interested. Thanks!

Fantastic book.... here's a passage from the book describing the scent... if she can make this... I want some!

Wow! I don't know if someone would be able to replicate K23 without reading the book. The basenote is beet pollen, but the emphasis is on the quality of the ingredients (namely the jasmine). You may be better off sending her a used copy of the book. Anyone who knows how to make perfume would love it. Good luck, Sari. I really hope it works. I've always wanted to smell that magic.

Well, she did say she was too busy to read the whole book.

I did tell her about the ingredients (including beet pollen), but i haven't read it in a few years, so I was hoping someone could refresh my memory with an accurate decription.

I'll send her that passage that Paan posted, and see what she can do.
