7-up game!

a bunch of us are sitting around discussing the old school game 7-up..

remember when you used to put your head down on your desk and some kid would walk by and tap it?

yah, that's as far as we got. what else happens during that game? like what was the point of the game? what made it a game? four of us are struggling to figure that out.

does anyone remember?

no worries.. it's all coming back to us now... and really wasn't as exciting as memories had painted it out to be.

i think the best thing about it was just being able to put your head down and close your eyes in a classroom. or maybe feeling cool if you were 'picked'.

Is that the same game where your mother goes around the corner and licks it up or am I confused.

I play this game with my kindergarten kids. But I call it "Heads Down, Thumbs Up" to avoid 7-Up confusion. Its a good game to get them to shut up for a few minutes.

sooooo...please do explain the 'rules of play'

Get about 3 kids to come to the front of the calss. Everyone else puts their heads down and thumb up. Each of the 3 standing up kids goes and touches one student on the thumb. The kids who get touched put their thumbs down. When all this is finished, you say "heads up" and heads go up. The 3 who got picked put their hands up. Then each of them gets one guess as to who touched their thumb. They get it right and they get to now come up front and go around touching thumbs on the next round. Thats it! Its a good time killer. A lot of time they cheat though.
