The Band Tribute Album Info

I'm surprised to be saying this but after listening to those tracks I'm most impressed by the Widespread Panic cover. Followed by Guster.

Much of it is indeed paint by numbers and pretty light listening. Death Cab's cover was striking and an interesting take on the song.

those Rolling Stones tribute albums done by blues artists are pretty darn good.

I love the Luther Alison version of You Can't Always Get What You Want on Paint It' date=' Blue[/i'] - the Hammond on that gets me every time.

I love that too, especially because Luther was dying of cancer at the time - a young Derek Trucks adds some nice slide work on that track and album.
