TheGoodRev
The Charlemagne boys have a lot of Charlemagne-related stuff to do. Matthew and Red Zeppelin are writing alot. Dan has a solo record ready to go. I have...a few lonely months ahead. Except that I'll be playing steel with Dan.Anyway, we've got five gigs booked from now until the end of November, three of which are in Hamilton. After that, nothing booked, and no plans for a while. Something of a hiatus (dare I use that word on the Jambands.ca message board). Just wanted to put the word out; see us in November, or you won't for quite a long while.http://www.thesurlyyoungbucks.caFriday, November 10Quarter's at McMaster University'Make Poverty History' Benefit$10 cover for charitywww.blackboxfire.com/fight for detailsMonday, November 13Casbah306 King Street West, HamiltonOpening for The DivorceesCheap Steamies, some undetermined cover chargeThursday, November 16The Last Drop511 Talbot Street, Londonw/ Lure & What The Thunder Said$7Friday, November 17Clinton's Tavern693 Bloor Street West @ Clinton (Christie Subway)w/ The Canaries, who are awesome$TBAThursday, November 30Pepper Jack Cafe38 King William Street at Hughsonw/ What The Thunder Said & Hibakusha

FairySari
Hey Aaron, what time does the quarters show start?
TheGoodRev
The SariThe Quarters show starts at 6pm sharp. There are nine bands and we're playing third. Our scheduled set time is from 7:20 to 7:50pm, and they're being intense about insisting that we stick to the schedule. There will be a couple really quick speakers in between bands (just during the 10-minute changeover), talking about the causes they're raising money for:Liz Weaver on behalf of Hamilton Round Table for Poverty Reduction [http://www.blackboxfire.com/fight/povertyReduction.php]'>http://www.blackboxfire.com/fight/povertyReduction.php]Sarah Knowles on behalf of Howard Hospital in Zimbabwe [http://www.blackboxfire.com/fight/howardHospital.php]'>http://www.blackboxfire.com/fight/howardHospital.php]Here's the website with all the other info, including other bands (though the site was down a short time ago, but it's back up): http://www.blackboxfire.com/fight

TheGoodRev
Hahahaha The cat is out of the bag. I am the proudest new proponent of The Hetfieldâ„¢ style of facial hair. Can't say for sure how long it will last, but shit, I gotta play at least one gig on the pedal steel while rockin the dirtiest of dirty south face carpets. That'll be tonight. Maybe a few more, if I have the stomach and find that people are still taking me seriously. For those unfamiliar, I suppose it's a style that falls somewhere between the Friendly Mutton Chops and the Franz Josef: Full res pic
