meggo
i don't think there are any surprises here - i have to say i hope they don't put john baird in rona's portfolio. for some reason that makes me uneasy... story from cbc.ca
d_rawk
i have to say i hope they don't put john baird in rona's portfolioYeah, that does stir kinda an uneasy feeling. So does Prentice, though.Really I don't think it matters who has the portfolio though ... Harper has been running a tight show (tight ship? I think I'm tired), and the chips would have fallen the same way no matter who had been environment minister. She's the fall girl for the decisions to date of the PMO. (And I, apparently, mix cliches and metaphors like they were rum and coke)Hopefully the fact that things have come so far that a cabinet shuffle is necessary to make public ammends will lead the PMO to re-evaluate the game plan. One hopes. One hopes.
meggo
shuffle eek! i had to go and open my big mouth... so to speak. but, i think you're right. no matter who it is, they're probably just going to be more or less a mouthpiece for harper. i thought it was cute in the article, rona apparently said she was excited to be getting a new job. i'm sure she can't wait to ditch that portfolio. Dr_Evil_Mouse
Yeah, it wasn't going to be pretty in any event. It is nice to see Toews gone from Justice, though.
Hux
Biggest news in this for me is basically two women being shuffled from the spotlight to far far less visible roles.

AD
i wish this was a shuffle where the shuffler clumsily loses some of the cards under the table and never picks them up.

bradm
i wish this was a shuffle where the shuffler clumsily loses some of the cards under the table and never picks them up.That'd be a bad thing, especially when you're not playing with a full deck to begin with...Aloha,Brad
DevO
Whether was just a stooge or whether she actually had faith in the lame duck policies made under her name, she failed either way. That aside, will I be grilled for saying that I have kind of have the hots for her? I guess opposites attract?
