Love that song Cranberry pickin'

interesting....you wouldn't perhaps mean "Blueberry Pickin'" by Pat Temple (they played together/collaborated often I believe)

WOW!!! yes you are so right!!! thats it.. Guess the old noggin' is just not what it used to be..

I used to hang with all those cats in and around 89' what was the name of that pub in Kingston they all used to play in the back of??

thanks darling..wish i had all those tunes again!

OMG

that's hilarious to think we crossed paths without knowing it. that's exactly when Dave & I hooked up (and what a great soundtrack to that time in my life do those pub nights/recordings make!!!)

you should talk to Dave about some of the old Kingston freaks you would both know.

Does the Barrack Street "speakeasy" mean anything to you?

we can burn some Pat Temple for ya if you'd like.....

and to get this thread back on track....

I was delighted by the news that he has a new CD due out.

I woke up today to the Willie P/Bruce Cockburn collaboration called "Last Word"

I agree entirely paise with your description of the man/performer....and I applaud your imagery, Sir Licker of the Toads, for I don't believe I could EVER have come up with:

"if you get to talk to him its like conversing with a meadow atop a cliff near the ocean"

with your permission, can I use this in my senior English courses as an example of an excellent & original simile?

(I'm really not kidding)

Nice!! Willie P is a legend and he lives full time in Peterborough. Check this out! I think he plays in Fred Eaglesmith's band most the time too these days. "Weeping Snow" is about as close as you can get to classic Canadian bluegrass.
