Kanada Kev
I'm exhausted from the show last night. Had a great time. Parked the car, lost 2 dubies somehow!! (FUCK ... only users lose drugs) Good my buddy had backup No lineup to get in ... biggest lineup was for beers ... Buck65 playing in the background and they blew chunks. No lineups in the bathrooms, and a civilized smoking "patio" where there was more herb being smoked than cigarettes . Security almost non-existent in the venue. DIdn't bother anyone around us and everyone was happy. A few super drunk chicks behind us, but at least they didn't puke Hip came on and rocked the house solid. Gordie was more "out there" than usual, but in a good way. I heard it was Gordie's bday. He was dancin' and rantin' the whole night. Worked a little Fleetwood Mac and Police vocals into a few jams. Fiddler's Green and 100th Meridian were big highlights for me. Here are some pics from last night's show (no idea who took 'em) I'm really looking forward to seeing them at the Town Ballroom next month and enjoyin' the Hip in a SMALL venue again. Later . . . AD
Buck65 playing in the background and they blew chunks. [color:purple]excellent review of the background music. edger
I really like their new tune "Rink" It's been quite a few years since I've had the inclination to see the Hip, but I would love to catch them again in a small venue. I guess it's a little late to think about tickets now eh?
bradm
I guess it's a little late to think about tickets now eh?Far from it. In fact, you can think about tickets anytime, even several years after the show. You just won't be able to get the tickets.Aloha,Brad
Kanada Kev
[color:purple]excellent review of the background music. "They" is mostly a "He" (sometimes with his wife). LOL .. true. I did see 2 people on stage. I didn't think that one was female, but i was more concerned about the beer line we were in at the time . Picture My Face (Teenage Head)Nice!Yup, nice little Hamilton reference with the Teenage Head.

Big Wooly Mammoth
saw Buck 65 on Canada Day. plain awful (but so were some of the other acts that shared that bill including K'naan and Kinnie Star at least IMNSHO) . I just don't get what the deal is. He lives in France (a meaningless fact I just threw in). I've heard him interviewed on the CBC various times. Teenage Head - very cool. They seem to be doing these one-off covers during the encores on this tour.
