Anyone been to Milagro in Toronto?

I saw an episode of "Opening Soon" the other day, detailing the construction of Milagro in Toronto, and it looked interesting. It's Mexican cuisine, but high-end Mexican cuisine*. I'll be in Toronto in mid-April for a couple of days (for Sisters Euclid and Umphrey's McGee), and was thinking about it for a nice dinner with my family. Has anyone been to it?

Weird that they have to define the menu so rigidly. Are nachos just for peasants?

According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the first record of 'Nachos' comes from Piedras Negras, Mexico, in the 1940s.

If you go to the restaurant, print off the story and see what they do... Maybe after you eat though...

Maybe it's just a convenient anecdote to drop on journalists and naive customers. Sounds like the kind of immigrant's "wives tale" that the locals eat up without question.

Brad...there is a Milagro's in Westboro...not sure if it's the same, but I hear it's pretty good.

Thanks, dinghy. I remember reading a review of it last year, and they seemed to like it. I don't think it's affiliated with the Toronto one, though.

this is making me hungry. although, I tend to ease those cravings with home made mexican fare. It was a place like that showed sharon and I that seared pineapple goes great with mexican spiced pork.
