NewRider Posted April 7, 2007 Report Share Posted April 7, 2007 Today I logged on to the Drive-By Truckers website to the news that Jason Isbell is no longer with the band. Bulletins and blogs on Jason's myspace site indicate he was kicked out. Jason came into the band in 2001 and contributed material that changed the Truckers in pro founding way. Songs like "Decoration Day", "Outfit", "Goddamn Lonely Love" were major staples at their shows. I hope I get the chance to talk to Jason on Thursday when he's in Toronto opening for Son Volt. Thursday is going to be a very difficult time to hear some of Jason's songs. NewRider Posted April 9, 2007 Author Report Share Posted April 9, 2007 John Neff is going to be replacing Jason. Neff has played with the band since the beginning and plays a mean pedal steel.
