Banksy - anonymous graffiti art

am sure someone or other has posted about this before but... saw a bit on Banksy on tv recently and it got me interested in what he was about

in looking around have found I really like a lot of his stuff

also touched by the notion that he works anonymously, not only not wanting to be paid, but not wanting to be recognized... supposedly in an effort to keep the art pure

I don't know a hell of alot about Banksy BUT I do know he's raking in the coin.Huge sales, phenomenal self promotion-just from behind the veil.Sort of Oz -ish.

It's well done for sure-clever-but pretty derivative of an earlier guy-bleek le rat, blek de rat-something like that that's escaping me now.Although Banksy acknowledges that I think.

Some of it(Banksy) is in Children of Men.
