Kanada Kev
Looks like the US can really say that they are Number 1 in this field, with little competition even coming close! http://www.wellingtongrey.net/miscellanea/archive/2007-05-06--world-fatness.html
Gateaux
Yep there's definitely alot of fatties out there. We were at Tulip festival yesterday in Otown and i was thinking of renaming it the Ottawa Gunt Festival due to all of the tremendous BIF'S. Ms.Huxtable
France really surprises me. I feel so damn guilty every time I eat French food. It's so packed with calories and trans-fats. And a baguette every day? White bread = Empty carbs non?But there is a book out there called "French Women Don't Get Fat", so apparently there's a theory behind it. Could it be the red wine or what? Dr_Evil_Mouse
Red wine and olive oil, apparently, do the trick. Scaling back on bread and cheese has been good for me, I've found. Oh, and consuming lots of red wine and olive oil . It'll be interesting to see how Japan and Korea turn out with increasing Western influences in their diets. larry_llama
Europeans drive less and walk more. It doesn't take much walking to make space for baguettes, especially if you walk every single day -- further than house-to-car-to-desk-to-car-to-house-to-(couch-to-fridge)^10-to-bedps: those pictures are hilarious Edited May 7, 2007 by Guest
