AD
Im not aware of this band... are they similar in sound to Tortoise?you can hear bits of what would become tortoise in slint, but i wouldn't say they sound alike. slint is heavier, with vocals, but definitely in the same ballpark. AllMusic Bio Wikipedia And again, if anyone hears of a Montreal date please let me know. There are people on this board with my email address, please use it in this case. Won't be able to check the board until the 31st.

mister slippery
according to Touch and Go website, might not be complete spiderland after all, which would really suck having promoted the tour that way.however, Holy F**k now seem to be opening the show. AD
touch and go says it's not a spiderland performance. however the tour wasn't really promoted that way. it started off with a bunch of 'Don't Look Back' performances which were Spiderland, then they added a bunch, that weren't, and then it was all mixed up.Either way, it's not that they're gonna shy away from playing Nosferatu Man or anything off Spiderland, they're just not gonna play all of it or in order. No big loss. Plus, be glad you get to be there at all!! And report back!!July 16 - Toronto, ON - The Phoenix*July 17 - New York City - Webster Hall (w/ Minnow)July 18 - New York City - Webster Hall (w/ Minnow)July 19 - Carrboro, NC - Cat's Cradle*July 21 - Seattle, WA - Showbox (w/ The Drift)*July 22 - San Francisco, CA - Bimbo's (w/ Phantom Family Halo)*July 23 - Los Angeles, CA - Henry Fonda Theatre (w/ Phantom Family Halo)Aug. 20 - Glasgow, UK - BarrowlandsAug. 22 - London, UK - KokoAug. 23 - London, UK - Koko (second show added)* not performing Spiderland

mister slippery
so......... Spiderland > some EP tracks > new song (nothing from Tweez, maybe in ' 09 for its 20th ann.) such a great show, Pajo was absolutely on fire, a delightful cross-section of, say, Kim Thayil meeting Dave Lauzon at a Meddle-era-Pink Floyd show. was all of Spiderland played, in order? Dunno exactly, kinda distracted at points, but seemed like it. First 4 tracks, definitely, after that, probably. So, all in all, way to go July. Tortoise, Polyphonic Spree, and Slint.
