Stupid computer!

Anyone know of a good online virus/spyware detection program to run? My computer keeps restarting on it's own and performing other funny business.

Hmm.. I ran the AVG program and it found no viruses. Any clue as to why my computer would just restart itself whenever it feels like it? I've ran spybot twice too and it still happens.

Mine did that for a while a couple weeks ago it was right weird so I simply just shut down and let it set for a couple hours turned off and un plugged it then came back plugged it in at started it up and its been working fine ever since

power issues? We had faulty power lines in our old apartment and my pc would reboot regularly. Not many times in one sitting, but every few days, it would just shutdown and reboot. The theory was that we had wonky power.

My other one used to do that and i don't think I have power issues.

it was old and tired though.
