balogna pogna
from jambands.com:The Black Crowes first new studio album in seven years is now set for a March 4 release. Warpaint collects ten new original songs written by Chris and Rich Robinson along with a version of “God’s Got It†by the Reverend Charlie Jackson. Of equal significance is the fact that North Mississippi Allstars guitarist Luther Dickinson appears throughout the album and will now join the group , officially replacing Paul Stacey (who produced Warpaint). Also on board is keyboardist Adam MacDougall, to completes the sextet along with drummer Steve Gorman and bassist Sven Pipien. The Crowes will begin a tour in support of the new disc on its release date of March 4, during which the band will perform Warpaint in its entirety, followed by additional material from the band's catalog. Given the Crowes' somewhat limited tour itinerary it does not appear that Dickinson's participation in the band will limit the efforts of the North Mississippi Allstars. Northern Wish
Cool. Love that band, but hate their personalities. What a disaster that org seems to be............Not sure how Luther is going to fill Fords shoes. With much wanking I suspect. And no one will ever match Eddie Hawrsch.S

I hope this doesn't send Chris Chew into some kind of sloth like state where he eats a lot and doesn't have much activity!
Jaimoe
I hope this new Black Crowes collaborative effort won't make Luther think he's a good songwriter and thus, abandon doing covers, the only thing The Allstars are good at. TimmyB
I hope this new Black Crowes collaborative effort won't make Luther think he's a good songwriter and thus, abandon doing covers, the only thing The Allstars are good at. Luther Dickinson will not have an opportunity to feel he's a good songwriter wrapped around the wings of the Black Crowes. The Brothers of a feather write the songs and that is it, minus the odd cover chosen by them. That was part of the reason why that band has problems with former significant members, like Marc Ford is the fact that the Robinson brothers do not share the songwriting.Tim
