bokonon
Didn't Waterloo music get bought by Long and McQuade's a few years ago? But congrats on the new job. Retail's fun, especially if you like the product you deal with and the people you work with.

bokonon
I'm sorry for causing a kerfuffle! I just remember when the big music store downtown changed over...i was kinda sad and i don't play any instruments.
geomouse
That was the Carpenter's Book and Music shop...I remember not feeling too upset that they were over run by the big machine what with all their Christian leanings. I always felt dirty when shopping there

balogna pogna
I have 2 talking drums which both have ripped skins and would require a lot of work to replace the skin & restring them. An african man at the big drum store on Queen ST Toronto told me years ago that it was cheaper to buy a new one than to pay someone to fix them.Does your guy have access to these? Tricky
I'm getting some hand picked drums from around the world soon at the store...some from Ghana which really kick ass, very nice hand drums. We'll have some talking drums in about a week or so.
