HARRY ANDERSON

Friday August 15, 8 P.M.

NIGHT COURT’S Harry Anderson was a street magician before becoming an actor. He is famous for the role of Judge Harry Stone on the 1984-1992 television series Night Court. In addition to eight appearances on Saturday Night Live between 1981 and 1985, Anderson had a recurring guest role as con man "Harry the Hat" on Cheers, toured extensively as a magician, and did several magic/comedy shows for broadcast, including Harry Anderson's Sideshow (1987). Anderson starred in the 1985 Tales from the Darkside episode 'All a Clone by the Telephone'.

GLASS TIGER

Saturday August 16, 8 P.M.

It's been almost twenty years since GLASS TIGER first topped the charts, and they are still masters of creating, the great song. With the recent release of their 20th Anniversary DVD "No Turning Back Glass Tiger 1985-2005", the band shows not only why they are indelibly etched into the annals of Canadian music history but also how their writing style still remains vibrant and meaningful for today's music scene. Two brand new songs penned by Glass Tiger and original producer /collaborator Jim Vallance have found their way onto what is truly a Greatest Hits package. "Give It Away" and the vividly nostalgic "No Turning Back" seem to pack all that Glass Tiger is known for, strong beautifully crafted melodies and lyrics delivered with power-packed vocals and driving rhythms.

THE AMAZING KRESKIN

Wednesday August 20, 8 P.M.

With a showman’s flair, a comedian’s wit and with the capacities of a bona fide Mentalist, The Amazing Kreskin has, for over five decades, dramatized the unique facets of the human mind.

THE TREWS

Friday August 22, 8 P.M.

The Trews’ reputation is built on buffed and visceral rock songs, but on No Time for Later they cohere like never before.

The structures are more compelling, the playing is more articulate, and the results more nourishing. If it’s the shrewd marriage of new and classic rock that accounts for the Trews’ remarkable multi-generational appeal – meaning they’re as welcome on MuchMusic as they are inside the pages of the UK’s Classic Rock magazine – then No Time for Later finds the band expanding at both ends of the spectrum.

KIM MITCHELL

Saturday August 23, 8 PM

Kim Mitchell has switched gears, now appearing every weekday on Q107 Classic Rock in Toronto hosting his own show. In 2003 he also found himself on TV, hosting a 'where are they now' styled musical documentary called "Undiscovered Countries - Been There Done That". Over 3 decades on the scene has brought Kim Mitchell to the point where he's considered one of the most influential and original members of Canadian rock's elite. He's become a die-hard's cult fave and one of the most respected people in the industry, co-writing, producing, or appearing on albums including Rush, Coney Hatch and Lee Aaron among others. He continues to be one of the top draws at outdoor festivals and has earned a reputation as one of rock's hardest-working stars.
