Freak By Night
Despite the home team loss, it was an exciting game to attend. Surrounded by boisterous 'abs fans. At first they were obnoxious but later turned friendly. How was the shaker at Booche's? Edited January 18, 2009 by Guest
Booche
How was the shaker at Booche's? I had to cancel last week. Douglas had to work at 4am.
rubberdinghy
The star of the show was winger Jarkko Ruutu. When asked by a young fan what he likes to eat at the rink, Ruutu, suspended for two games a couple of weeks ago for biting Buffalo Sabre Andrew Peters, replied: "Buffalo fingers."In the shootout competition, he came out with a flowing wig and sparklers on the back of his skates. He used the old puck on a string trick to beat rookie goaltender Brian Elliott for a goal.
Booche
I think it is pretty telling that Brian Elliott has a painting of a kid's cartoon character who carries a golf bag on his back.
rubberdinghy
It's better than Garth Brooks and George Strait
Booche
Carey certainly has questionable taste in music, as does Mike 'What has Jesus done for you lately' Fisher, but at least he didnt paint something from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for Christ's sake! AD
A real heartbreaker for yas... i was going to say the same thing to you... the mighty habs can't even beat the lowly sens in 65 minutes of hockey? good thing Elliot gave you that gift or things would have finished much different also, http://www.thingsididlastnight.com/

badams
I agree... 2 points is 2 points and it gave Halak some practise in the shootout. He performed much better than that Sens guy... Crap I can't even remember his name
Hal Johnson
Anyone catch that move Spezza made at the blue-line in OT, then the nice dish? IM hoping the fans and media keep hatin' on him and he ends up in Toronto.
AD
that move was brilliant for sure.
Booche
Just like the one he made at center ice which allowed Lang to go in on the short-handed breakaway?
badams
Spezza is talented but he also has a knock against him that he is stupid on the ice too many times. Hopefully that changes with age, other wise he is always going to make those mistakes.
Hal Johnson
Point about the givaways duelly noted, but I'd take the bad with the good.He certainly wouldnt be hurting the Leafs at this point. Plus, I think the intangibles of playing in his hometown (as opposed to Brad May and other's who are from T.O.), and under Wilson would work for him.Ultimately, it would be worth the gamble for the Leafs...IMHO. Booche
Ooooooooooooh, brilliant moves. I get it. Like the needless slashing penalty that led to MTL's first goal of the game.I guess brilliance is in the eye of the beholder.
