DJ Trinity
In the past, I never bothered watching the televised debates on TV- it was usually enough to hear the rundown on CBC afterwards. This year, however, I'm much more inclined to schedule some tv watching time as this will be the first time that the Green Party will be allowed to participate. What does the rest of her platform sound like? How will her presence change the dynamic between the other parties?I think this will be exciting enough to warrant popcorn *g*
Freak By Night
Anyone know when said debate will occur? Has it been announced yet?I'll be watching. I can tell you in one word what Elizabeth May's platform sounds like: shrill
AD
The French language debate is scheduled for Wednesday, October 1 from 8 to 10 pm EDT, moderated by Stéphan Bureau, a journalist and host. The English language debate will be on Thursday, October 2 from 9 to 11 pm EDT. The moderator will be Steve Paikin of TVOntario.I thought they were to be from the NAC, but I looked at their schedule and there are some other events. So I'm not sure. bradm
I'm looking forward to the debates (usually shown on the Rogers Community channel here in Ottawa) between each riding's candidates. Those are the ones where you see the truly off-the-beaten-path candidates and parties come out of the woodwork.Aloha,Brad
timouse
Thanks AD. Paikin's a perfect choice for moderator. Who would win a deathmatch between Steve Paikin and Evan Solomon? The TV watching public!Seriously, Steve Paikin gives me the screaming heeby jeebies. Despite that, I will watch the debate.
