Rolling Stone Phish Reunion Article

On night two at the Phish Hampton Coliseum run I saw David Fricke behind the lighting board on the floor. I have always been a fan of David's writing and it was great to see one of the main writers for Rolling Stone out on the floor watching the gig and that's exactly what he did and he never left for the entire show.

Throughout the concert I would sometimes catch a glance of David taking in the return of Phish and I was able to tell that David was not only a journalist reporting for RS, but a phan of the music that was coming from the stage in Hampton Coliseum.

It was especially great to see the opening song of the second set, the Velvet Underground's "Rock and Roll" where David could be seen moving a little more to the music and singing along with ever word of the classic song.

A man after my own heart, I wish there were more like David Fricke.

Peace,

Tim
