Releasing a live album that was recorded in Toronto this summer, The New Deal continues to be a trail blazer in live electronica. Check out the preview clip This Saturday we have a legendary show put together with 3 of Canada's top Jam acts including: The Burt Neilson Band, The Fat Cats & The Gratefully Deadicated Soundsystem. This is the 4th annual event event that promises to be a great end of year party with your favorite Canadian roots rockers. Lastly for Boxing Day, in conjunction with Do Right Music, we are hosting a Tribute to the late James Brown. We celebrate the man and music, with an audio/visual retrospective of his life. Spinning his original hits, cover tunes, remixes and the JB's inspired grooves - it's time to "To Get Down and Get on the Good Foot!" It's the end of a very busy year for Nufunk Concerts, we've had some wonderful shows! Thanks to all who've shared in the musical experiments with us: DJ Czech, Gov't Mule, King Sunshine, God Made Me Funky, DJ NuMark, Adham Shaikh, Xavier Rudd, Railroad Earth, Mike Gordon, Lee Fields, A.Skillz, Krafty Kuts, Herbaliser, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, Souljazz Orchestra, The Jimmy Swift Band, Bassnectar, Fort Knox Five and so many others. We also took on some great festival projects including The NuJazz Festival, The Freedom Festival, The Evolve Festival, The NuFunk Festival, Make it Funky and Tributes to Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, The Wailers and James Brown. Thanks for all your support and input - it's been a wild ride. In 2010 watch for Souljazz Orchestra CD Release, Lotus, DJ Czech, Pretty Lights, The Jimmy Swift Band, Wassabi Collective and Make it Funky's 5 Year anniversary! Here's to 2010!
