Jaimoe
IBL is a old and fairly good league, historically and quality of baseball-wise. It's on the same level as single A ball, and some IBL players do get drafted into the "Bigs". A number of older ex-pros play in the league too. It's fun baseball and it won't cost you anything - at least they don't charge for Toronto Maple Leaf games (too bad the same can't be said about the hockey version). Hal Johnson
That's pretty cool, and you never know, it might have a better chance of surviving than the last few efforts did. And, like Jaimoe said, it's fairly decent ball. Edited January 31, 2010 by Guest
Jaimoe
That's pretty cool, and you never know, it might have a better chance of surviving than the last few efforts did. And, like Jaimoe said, it's fairly decent ball. It's not a gate-driven league, which is a positive. Some good ball players are/were in the league. For example, The Toronto Maple Leafs featured ex-Jays Rich and Rob Butler and Paul Spoljaric. It's a fun day out at the ball park, plus you probably can sneak in some snoots. Jaimoe
Guessing this is kinda like the OHL of baseball?Lower than that. Perhaps it's more like Ontario Junior A Hockey League or the old Senior A league.

Big Wooly Mammoth
I actually thinnk that it's a great name, and logo. much better than rapidz (or rapids). the only issue that I have is ticket prices, which are about double what they are elsewhere in the league (and free in toronto).http://www.ottawafatcats.com/
Northern Wish
Probably due to the fact that their membership in the IBL requires them to pay all travel costs for teams playing in Ottawa....I do have to say that Duncan (who was all over the news of this last night) is a King Effing Asshole. He used to work here and was let go because he caused so much strife in the office- in less than 2 months! The employees actually banded together, met with management and demanded his release- which was swift and relieving. I hope he has grown up and the Fat Cats are successful despite his involvement.
