That may be the best lineup I've seen ever. I don't mean literally but in terms of the last year of music and powerhouse live bands - it's rare to have all the Pitchfork bases (but only the actually good ones covered, Cymbals Eat Guitars, Neon Indian, Girls- okay not the last one) and heavy live bands like MMJ, Ween and DBT's and solid hip hop acts (Kid Cudi, Wale) and all of the bands in between (Fruit Bats, Vetiver).

Seriously look at that top 10 (minus fugging Tegan and Sara obiously, shudder...) - it's probably just my specific taste in music but if I had 200K of programming dollars to spend I'd do it that way. I don't know about my estimate though, NorthernWish'd know better. At least 150K.

I agree that paying for camping in a desert is a total racket, but friends who have gone to this venue and stayed in town or other places said it was a pain to travel back and forth. $170 for a weekend ticket plus $99 for camping split 4 ways ain't bad I think. This whole "no re-entry" thing seems like it might be a bit of a pain in the ass. Packing a bag for a full day of fun at a festival will be tough, guess I'm just used to the convenience of Bonnaroo and other festivals. Still super stoked for this weekend!
