Some of my co-workers worked on this show. One of my favourites from one of my favourites:

I doesn't matter how many times I look at him, he will always appear old to me.

I wish I could have seen him play live. This show must be the greatest memory for a few lucky people.

I've been savouring the re-issue of Couldn't Stand the Weather lately, with all those notes I hadn't heard before. Velvet, your story of having met him must be a really special memory; he did always give off that nice guy and master of his instrument vibe.

My co-worker told me that Citytv wanted a crew to shoot this hotshot new blues sensation at the El Mo. So, they brought some hand-held cameras, VTRs and a bare-bones crew. Few if any knew who SRV was at the time. However, you couldn't have gotten a better station to shoot a live show on the cheap than Citytv. They know how to produce concert videos and programs.
