My upload of DaveC's recording of the Thursday, October 2, 2003 show by North Mississippi Allstars at Barrymore's Music Hall in Ottawa, ON is now available for downloading and streaming:

I saw them the previous night at Lee's Palace. Not to put too fine of a point on it...but that was a bit of a life-changing night for me. I became a huge fan. They returned and played two nights at the Horseshoe in the Spring of 04. I loved them as a quartet.

That's hilarious because, with obviously no disrespect intended towards Brad, I think the Barrymore's show he posted is one of the worst shows I ever attended in my life.

Interesting! The Toronto show is all about the setlist. Looking at that Ottawa setlist I can see why it would have gotten off to a weird start.

Too bad the Allstars began to suck following the release of their second album. Such promise and excitement ruined by bad album after bad album. Still, their debut is one of the best blues records of the 2000s (a nice companion to Buddy Guy's Sweet Tea).
