Northern Wish
I was very fortunate to have been in attendance for this show last night. I've seen Band music in many formats (except the original lineup of course) but this 'band' floored me; simply put this was the tightest shit I think I have ever seen. The Antibalas horns started the evening off in grand fashion from a box in the balcony and we were off running. The song list is ingrained in my mind but with each new tune a wave of excitement hit. Highlights were every single song played. Really honest to goodness highlights. And then there were the others, the ones that seized up muscles in my face and my chest. Those moments are a difficult thing to put into words for those that have never been there in that moment when there is nothing more important than the song being played in front of you, but I know this board will get it. The biggest superstar performances of the night came from Sam Cohen (on every song!), Jocie Adams (Coyote), Eric Earley (who was a spot on Dylan) and Nels Cline doing the two Clapton numbers was massively impressive. If this show takes place again next year and I can't see why it wouldn't- JUST GO!! Ophelia: The Weight: For those that care about these things, this was the lineup: Alec Ounsworth (Clap Your Hands Say Yeah) Alecia Chakour (Warren Haynes Band) Andy Cabic (Vetiver) Cass McCombs Dave Dreiwitz (Ween) Eric Earley (Blitzen Trapper) Eric Johnson (Fruit Bats) Jeff Chimenti (Furthur) Jocie Adams (The Low Anthem) Joe Russo (Furthur) John Roderick (The Long Winters) Jordan McClean (Antibalas) Josh Kaufman (Yellowbirds) Marc Black Marco Benevento Matt Vasquez (Delta Spirit) Nels Cline (Wilco) Nicole Atkins Ryan Miller (Guster) Sam Cohen (Yellowbirds) Scott Metzger (Wolf!) Stuart Bogie (Superhuman Happiness)
HMike
Glad it was such an enjoyable show ! Was this your first time at the Cap? Any other plans while you are south? I see the show this weekend at the Barn is sold out.
Northern Wish
It was my first time at the renovated Cap. What a beauty. I love when venues are clearly run by people who go to shows and everything is smooooth. They now have an app for your phone that you can order drinks right to your seat which was a real treat. Our seats DFC in the first row of the balcony didn't hurt either.I'm living down here for work for a while so I get to see anything I want (within reason). I wasn't able to make the Barn show, but I might hit up Felice Brothers in Hudson NY on my way back to PA from CT tomorrow night.

Northern Wish
Nice! Thanks bradm.edit: Damn just noticed the caveats. The crowd on the floor was super chatty so I am not really suprised. You could hear the buzz of conversation from our spot at the front of the balcony.
