There's some news on the Capital Hoedown front. The festival had troubles in 2012 and was cancelled. Early in 2014, the festival's head was sued, and now, the festival has launched its own lawsuit, against Lefty McRighty, the organizer of the O-Town Hoedown (which actually pre-dates the Capital Hoedown).

The suit against Lefty is for $250,000, for statements Lefty made about the Capital Hoedown in his blog.

A fund-raiser for Lefty's legal fees is being held on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at The Rainbow Bistro in Ottawa, ON. A Facebook event for it can be found here.

Aloha,

Brad

I'm sure he wants to be a famous promoter, but now he's sort of infamous.   How could he possibly get any credibility back, achieve investors and sponsors after all the bad practices?
