DevO
Just thought I'd update you Silver Hearts fans on some of the latest happenings.. - They recently released an EP called "Take This Hammer", which was recorded live off the floor at Catherine North Studios with Glen Marshall. It is AWESOME! Apparently they hooked up with Marshall on the Canadian folk festival circuit this past Summer. - Jenny Ball (violin) played her final show with the Hearts last night at the Montreal House in Peterborough. She did a heart-felt speech at the end of the night. - Upcoming shows: - Every Wed: Montreal House, Peterborough - Friday December 12: Electric Tomato, Lindsay - Friday January 9: Barrymore's, Ottawa

kung
Jenny is Gordie Ball's (runs Mariposa) daughter. I can't remember exactly what it was but I want to say that I recall a Hearts member griping about her, or saying something under her breath. She was by no means an indispensable part of the group but she had heart.
ratski
i think jeeny is a pretty important part of this group and her departure will create a loss of fans for the weekly peterborough show. as for their bitchin the silverhearts are pretty well known for tons of inner band fighting and general bitching. DevO
For me, anyways, The Silver Hearts will never be the same without Jen Ball! She didn't too much of the songwriting but her presence was always felt. Bouche, nahh I won't be comin' into town for that show.. They play here every week!
