i dont know the one i saw in cinci was kickass.

some 2003 phish is fucking great man, but some of it aint that great,, listen to the hood from 2.1503 vegas,, man the harmonic jam is SOOO beautiful.

maybe ill just swing by and stink up your place for a bit and give this deodato a listn [Razz]

Why yes, as a matter of fact, he does do an excellent 2001. In fact, it's really him that Phish is covering. He is responsible for the arrangement of Strauss' "Also Sprach Zarathustra" (2001 Theme) that Phish play. I believe it was somewhere back around 1973.

I love that Deodato version of 2001(with Stan the Man Clark on bass-although he doesn't really bust loose there)....its obviously the version that Phish copped(that telltale Fender Rhodes riff). I have only had a chance to briefly hear some other Deodato stuff, but it sounded pretty funky.
