  6. Is anyone interested in helping me get the lyrics transcribed correctly for Sleepyhead by Surprise Me Mr. Davis? I have the album version and it's hard to make out the words. This youtube version conflicts a little bit but also helped, so I'll add that here. I'm confident with most of the words transcribed, but I highlighted those that don't really make sense. this morning i went straight to the mountain and there i arose some sleep to the pounding of a thousand hearts dancing light on their feet i walked on my hands, spun on my head, and puffed away my sins i stepped barefoot from my bed right into the ducking jughead bins rise and shine sleepyhead, up and out ‘em outta bed the day’s a’new and love’s been lookin’ for you rub your eyes you got something to do, you’re a miracle boy how could i be so afraid through so also last night outside myself (this is slightly different on the album) i bet the sun shines so today, like there’s love and nothing else i’ve been broke so many ways then whatever holds your spirits but just maybe like the morning rays of the sun across the hills rise and shine sleepyhead, up and out ‘em outta bed the day’s a’new and love’s been lookin’ for you rub your eyes you got something to do, you’re a miracle boy (this section doesn't appear on the album) you see i was stuck inside my head but then life pulled me right from bed saying you’re just asleep you are not dead and like mama always said rise and shine sleepyhead, up and out ‘em outta bed the day’s a’new and love’s been lookin’ for you rub your eyes you got something to do, you’re a miracle boy
  7. i clicked on the link, and saw that it was alot of recordings. I've never heard of John Peel, so a little background is helpful. thx.
  8. that is some obvious greatness right there.
  9. Conan has Mike Myers on the current episode. He talks about his origins, and today i learned that he had segments on Much Music and CBC before SNL. I did a deep dive. They are hilarious. 10. I watched this documentary the other night during a live screening over Zoom and Youtube with panel hosted by Greg Hemmings along with Jon Fishman, J. Willis Pratt, John Kasiewicz. (The panel was made available on youtube here) You may remember Greg's project, A Head's Tale from 2002 which visited the Come Together Festival along the way The documentary itself, is only about 1/2 hour and is a very interesting documentary about a guy I would never have heard of, if it weren't for Hemmingshouse putting together this production, finishing it and releasing it for free. According to the creators, there is alot more to this story and this is really just a small taste of Pratt's life and connections. They've released it early, and for free on youtube while also putting a call out for people to share also for donations towards Pratt's treatments. (I don't see a link to a campaign available yet). Totally worth the time to watch.
  11. holy shit. looks like you're playing an ENIAC!
  12. They're already pushing 2021 though. They certainly would like to encourage people who purchased passes to avoid refunding for this year and let it roll. It's interesting to me how advance ticket purchases have incremented from a few months, to 8 months and now we're at 15 months advanced ticketing. I'm waiting for the "lifetime festival pass" to be introduced by a festival. RBC Bluesfest organizers today confirmed that Rage Against The Machine and Alanis Morissette will, in fact, be included in the 2021 program, along with numerous other exciting acts that were confirmed on the festival website, yesterday. “On the heels of announcing the cancellation of our 2020 event a few days ago, we are happy to share what we consider to be some pretty great news for 2021,” says Mark Monahan, the festival’s executive and artistic director. “We know 2021 seems like a long time coming, but this announcement is something we believe a lot of ‘fest fans will be happy to hear, and something they can mark on their calendars for the coming year.” RBC Bluesfest is planned to run from July 8 to 18, 2021.
