  1. Was it Soulive at the Comfort Zone?

  4. I went to both years of the field trip. The first year I got VIP tickets. What a rip off. It was way better the following year when i bought regular tickets. The second stage doesn't even have a VIP area. They advertise shade and seats but I didn't find either. Its a great festival. I found it was hands down the best food I have had at any music festival. Its great bang for the buck. I went on the second day last year and bought a leftover 2 day pass wristband for next to nothing. I'd be surprised if this show sells out anytime soon. Last time MMJ played was at Echo Beach and the capacity is less than half of Fort York. Looks like MMJ bought out some interesting covers at the One Big Holiday this year ilke I Can't go for That, Benny and the Jets, Mama Don't let you Babies Grow up to Be Cowboys, Happy, Wicked Game, Drive and others.
  5. The Beastie Boys played a slow like this at the Hummingbird back in 2007. I wasn't sure what to think of it before going to the show. Not everyone dressed up but those who did looked like they were having a blast. I remember the show being a lot of fun. I have the same expectations for the Arcade Fire.
  6. The Spades are playing a farewell show this Saturday August 10th in Peterborough at the "Hootenanny on Hunter". I don't know set times but I'm sure that it will be a fun show. Its being billed as The Spades and Friends. The Spades also have a new 7 inch vinyl release backing Matthew Barber. If you haven't checked out this Canadian Record label check it out. They put out some great releases in the last year. It was fun to check my mailbox once a month to get a surprise 7 inch. http://seventhfirerecords.com/
  7. I saw this posted on the Rolling Stone website. I've always been a fan of best of lists. I thought this was a good one. Check 'er out. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/50-greatest-live-acts-right-now-20130731 There are a couple on there that have eluded me over the years. I would love to see Tom Waits and Rage Against the Machine.
  8. I didn't get a chance to watch last nights webcast. Did the DDW have any special guests join them on stage? On Wednesday, Phil joined them for Two Time Loser, Deal and he sang Peggy-O with them. It was pretty awesome.
  9. https://store.terrapincrossroads.net/ For 2 bits you can watch a webcast of the DDW playing at the Terrapin Crossroads with Phil tonight. I love the Deep Dark Woods.
  10. Anyone know the presale password to this?
  11. http://www.drfunkenberry.com/2011/11/23/maceo-parker-to-join-prince-the-npg-in-canada/npg/ Looks like Maceo will be playing with Prince in Canada!
  12. Lawn seats were never sold for this show. Its cheaper to use the pizza pizza promo to buy tickets anyways. The password is 1111pizza for $11.11 tickets before service.
  13. I was at the Omemee show when Garth joined the Sadies last month. It was a great show. Garth must have joined them for a good ten songs. The encore was a great Neil medley when they played Everybody knows this is Nowhere>Don't Spook the Horse>Farmer John.
