  1. My deepest sympathies to you in these hard times. Like many others here, I feel for you and understand how hard it is. For all the love and affection that your companion gave to you over the years, remember that he got all of that from you as well. Nobody wants to suffer and hurt. You did the right thing in easing the pain for a loved one. Thoughts are with you.
  2. Herbie Hancock 10.13.73 Headhunters, Boston listen to it: http://jazzfusion.tv/bootlegaudio.580.html download it: http://jazzfusion.tv/bootlegaudio.580.html#
  3. Agreed ... there's some insane stuff on the 69 box, but for overall playability i'll get a lot more mileage out of this 73 one ... always been my favourite year of the GD
  4. So, where are the preshow beers/cocktails?
  5. Wish that ZPZ was at Nelson Ledges on July 4th ... now THAT would be sweet
  6. LOL ... nope, not this time I'm trying to figure out how the hell i will get home. Last train outta Union is at 12:43. i don't know if i'll be able to stumble over there in time (or miss part of the gig). Waiting to hear back from a buddy of mine who will drive though, so I can probably help you out again :)
  7. Just stumbled (well Digg'ed) this. Great news. I saw these guys on their "Farewell Tour" and it was a complete riot. Loved the show. I'll be looking at going to the Massey Hall show for sure http://www.myspace.com/kithtour08 The Most Critically-Acclaimed Comedy Troupe of Our Generation Hits the Road for First Major Tour in Six Years "The Kids in the Hall", the watershed comedy troupe of the 1990’s, are returning to their live-performance roots for a major North American theater tour in 2008. The tour kicks off at the Star Plaza Theatre in Merrillville, IN on April 4, 2008 and will include approximately 30 cities in the US and Canada. Join The Kathies, Headcrusher, the Sales Guys, Buddy Cole, and people you’ve never met before (but somehow recognize from your everyday life) on an adventure into the bizarre and side-splittingly funny.
  8. What time are you off work Hickster? It's going to be a late show ... doors 8pm, show at 9pm with an opener). I can't see the DBT hitting the stage until around 10pm.
  9. Another Joker in the White House, said a change was comin' round But I'm still workin' at The Wal Mart and Mary Alice, in the ground And all them politicians, they all lyin' sacks of shit They say better days upon us but I'm sucking left hind tit And the preacher on the TV says it ain't too late for me But I bet he drives a Cadillac and I'm broke with some hungry mouths to feed
  10. Just go by the box office a little early, grab yer tix, then head for a pub/bar/peeler joint/whatev Try calling the Opera House and see if they have any idea of how many will be avail at the door.
  11. If the part about being who he was didn't help Tom get loose, what's a guy without a T. gonna get? Totally screwed, while chicken wing puke eats the candy apple red off his Corvette Three dimes down and 25 cents shy of a slice of the Doublemint twins Come back baby, Rock and Roll never forgets
  12. Capacity: 850 Licensed (580 Main Floor and 270 Balcony)
  13. Called Rotate This and they only had a couple of tix left. It was closer for me to hit the Horseshoe. They had about 12 left. Came to $39 for a pair ... helluva lot cheaper than going through TicketBastard (who have nothing left at this point anyway).
  14. Damn! Where can you get tix during the day? Rotate This? I'm downtown and will go out at lunch to get me mine. Any ideas? Thanks.
  15. Streaming Truckers 6/30/06 http://panicstream.net/streams/drive_by_truckers/2006-06-30/player_j_box.swf'>http://panicstream.net/streams/drive_by_truckers/2006-06-30/player_j_box.swf a few more shows here too: http://panicstream.net/streams/drive_by_truckers/
  16. Here's one of Tom's 2004 b-day bash on a boat. Nutty. What a wanker on guitar too ...
  17. Will this work day ever end? What fuckin time is it?? DAMN ... it's not even 9am yet
  18. $44 is well worth the price of admission IMHO. These musicians are top-notch and can turn on a dime. Ray White is as good as ever too. Saw him play with them last fall and his vocals are stellar. Great stage presence. That live DVD is great too. If anyone would like to see it, I'd be happy to do a b&p. It requires 2 dual-layer blank DVDs.
