Wu ... Swarengen ... (fingers cross) Cocksuckers (finder across throat) Love Wu ... his pigs are creepy though
  3. I'm officially sick of this shit! Anyone got a good snowblower they want to get rid of?
  4. Deja Vu ... it's like June 2007 again!
  5. Preshow anywhere??? The Library? Fran's?
  6. Unless it's J-Roc and his crew! I'm going into this show with absolutely NO expectations. I'm curious to catch the reaction of the crowd to all of this as well.
  7. !!! Kitty's Back !!! WOW! Show highlight for me for sure. What a performance. This one really highlighted how good these guys can perform and how well the Boss's early material holds up. What a treat/surprise! Much like hearing Thundercrack back at the ACC, I was surprised at how many fans out there were clueless about this song. Then they go nuts for Dancin' In The Dark (which by comparison is such fluff to Kitty's Back, IMHO). I had a blast at the show. I felt that it was a much tighter performance that the one at the ACC last year and it was also kinda nice not having to have a Bruce song replaced by a Patti song in the setlist (she has stayed home with the kids). As Bruce said, "you've got 3 teenagers, somebody's gotta stay back to make sure the house doesn't burn down" We were able to get a friend into the show well before the start time for $40. I'm sure you could have gotten in even cheaper. Anyone who was on the fence for this one should be kicking themselves for not going ... or making plans to get down to Buffalo for the Friday night gig TimmyB, good seeing you again at the show. Got your text message after the show too. I totally agree with you on the other highlights (The River, Thunder Road and Because The Night). I'll hopefully see you at Steve Earle tonight
  8. Well, I did send in a request. Your post made me wonder though. I just called the place and they told me they didn't get my email. Hmmph. They did say that if there were no shows you could get in upstairs, but I'm not waiting around to spend money on drinks. I'll see what happens with my buddies who are on their way there right now and see what to do. We may end up at the place you suggested
  9. Hey Tim, we'll be down in the GAs as well. Most likely we'll be hanging out close by the soundboard. I'll keep my eyes out for ya. I've got your cell number, so maybe I'll give you a call when we get in there. B R U U U U U U U U U U U C E
  10. Betcha get in too. He has been hitting the stage between 8:15 and 8:30 just so you know.
  11. Killer lower bowl seats being dropped right now! 10th row sec 123! http://www.ticketmaster.ca/event/10003F73CCBA9F16?artistid=860453&majorcatid=10001&minorcatid=1
  12. Or, do an "Odd Couple" sort of deal. Have Cleveland and Quagmire as room mates ...
  13. bump ... I'm trying to get there no later than 5pm for some drinks, etc. Anyone else care to meet up at the following: If you've never seen THe Boss live before, you should give it a try. Well worth it. I'm sure there will be people with extra tix at the preshow gathering and there are quite a few on the BTX forum: http://www.backstreets.com/btx/viewforum.php?f=5&sid=48d044363daa8d8eea068b5e3ab1d867
  14. Whoa ... that one hits hard. Totally wasn't expecting to read this tonight. What sad sad news
  15. Looks like I may be going to the gig in Toronto now. Friend can't use his ticket, so my arm doesn't have to be twisted too hard to take a front row seat for this one Anyone else?
  16. Really??? Could be interesting. Hasn't this been done before?
  17. Three years in a row finishing in 9th??? They're gunnin' for a record Sundin is on fire right now and getting the job done at clutch times in a game. Hopefully the young 'uns are soaking up his lessons.
  18. Congratulations on FIRST PLACE in the standings! Well deserved.
  19. I don't know where a link is but MAN did I dig there 2 performances last night. Sounded fantastic!
  20. Yeah, sorry man. Remind me at these shows and I'll buy you a beer to make up for it Agreed. Hey, they way I look at it the show is in a wayyy better venue and the tix are half price compared to what they have to charge at Massey. So, it's kinda like a 2fer1 deal LOL ... yup that's what TIOA is, but I really enjoyed it for what it is. Great musicians and really they kept the cheese to a minimum. NO, I don't think that Martin LeVac will be back behind the kit for TMB unfortunately. Oh well. Looking forward to partying and hangning out at these shows
  21. Hey Tigger, Blue Heron is a great fest. I went to it for 2 years prior to going to Gratefulfest. Very laid back, great people and lots of fun. The swimming doesn't come close to Nelson Ledges though

  23. I sould have mentioned that they announced these shows at the Turn It On Again gig at the refurbished Danforth Music Hall. As weird as it sounds paying that much for one of these gigs, it's completely worth it IMHO. For the quality of musicianship, attention to detail, that it is more than just a musical perfomance, etc. Compared to some shows I've seen for more money, this is a much better use of concert cash for some. We will be arranging a big preshow party for this one. We'll be at a location close by, and one where we can blast tunes of our choice as well. This is a show that you really don't have to be right up front for either. I may party at this one back in the balcony
  24. The WORST is when the whistles come out in the last few minutes of a good game when they had been away leading up to that point. Drives me NUTS. One of the most costly "no-calls" was Brett "not Canadian" Hull's no-goal to win the friggin' CUP.
