  1. That was a crazy shootout! Those goalies were on fire.
  2. http://uk.gizmodo.com/2007/10/26/guitar_captured_with_enough_co.html#more Guitar Captured with Enough Coke Stashed Aboard to Take Us All to Electric Ladyland October 26, 2007 What on earth would make this Stratocaster clone worth well over a million dollars? As you can see in the pic above, the electric guitar was stuffed with lots of cocaine, that's what. We former musicians are well aware that the gigsters always have the best blow, but this guitar player went overboard when he decided to fly from Costa Rica to Rome with his drastically modified Squier ax in tow. Too bad The Man noticed a bit of telltale powdery residue poking out of a conspicuous spot on this git-box. We have another pic of the guitar before it was dismantled, looking perfectly innocent. Add that amount found in the guitar to all the cocaine the guy had mixed up in ten Thermos flasks in his luggage, and the grand total value (certainly inflated by breathless Drug Warriors) was $5.12 million worth of the stuff. Just think of how many times this has been done without detection. -Charlie White

  4. I wish there was a filter that could be run on incoming email that would scan for items already deemed false in the Snopes database. I usually do a REPLY ALL in those cases and send the link to Snopes and encourage people to do a quick check before forwarding some of the stuff.

    Crazy!

Now, after only one coffee and feeling half-asleep still, I watched this link somebody sent me. My brain is now spinning and I think i'm having a flashback
  8. Rogers gets no money from me . I'm on sat with ExpressVu, and we don't pay for Leafs TV. Trust me, i'm surviving
  9. Saw the highlights (don't want to PAY to see the Leafs) and the young guys were playing well! Great to see a guy come into the league and in his first game score 2 goals?
  10. Makes me kinda want to go back to school Pretty funky that the prof's name is Robert Weir!
  11. Gotta unload him. Who do you get in the meantime? That's the big question. They need somebody with proven success and experience and give them ample enough control to get this team's shit together. It's almost as if they need to blow it up and build from a young core. I heard shit today that if they could get Sundin to agree to it, they could use him as trade-bait with his numbers and performance so far ('cause it ain't gonna last forever) but will that really solve anything? Would the fans tolerate it? I'm glad the game is on Leaf TV tonight ... i don't get it ... i don't have to suffer I REFUSE to pay to watch the Leafs on TV.
  12. I think that you are up against 2 probs here: 1. Some lazy-ass cops that didn't properly record the events that went down at your accident. 2. Insurance companies trying to brush it under the carpet as quickly and cheaply as possible. I'd suggest contacting a supervisor at the police station and ask him/her what is going on. Keep some notes, names and badge numbers for your records. Don't let them think that you'll just fade away. They are there to "serve and protect" you! As for the insurance companies ... don't trust anything thing they say. Total scammers, IMHO.
  13. I ran into Rory at the Phil show last week. He's an old buddy of mine that I don't get to see much these days. He told me that he was all lined up to travel with some folks playing festivals and gigs around Europe, but ended up having to come home just as it was starting due to a kidney stone(s) ... bummer. He is doing just fine and was loving the Phil show. I don't know if he has any gigs coming up around here in the near future though.
  14. I am sorry to hear that you are being dicked-around after what you have gone through. Who is this "witness"? Betcha any money it the insurance company utilizing a technique that will avoid them having to deal with this accident. What do the police have on the report? Did THEY talk to this witness? Or, was it just insurance? Don't TRUST insurance companies. They will do ANYTHING to get out of doing what they are there for. Can you contact the other person's insurance company and determine if they have heard of this phantom witness??
  15. In regular play, if a defenceman did that to a player breaking for the net, and didn't contact the puck first, it would be called for interference. I just don't get it. Bad that the announcers didn't have an answer for it during the game (and that the video feed got all cacked-up too).
  16. Crosby's gonna bust out tonight ... there's no defence to stop him in this opponent! With the Leafs luck, Antropov or Sundin will get injured in the near future and then they may as well field the Marlies for all future Leaf games
  17. Kovalchuk is a joy to watch on the ice. His speed and agility is mind-boggling. That goal in the shootout was quite incredible. Speaking of the shootout, wtf is the rule when it comes to goalies attacking the shooter? That was no fucking poke-check. If THAT was allowed, i'd be putting Belak in net during the shootout and just get him to jump on any shooter coming at him and take them out

  19. There was some damage to the statue of the American Bison in front of the house in Big Sky. There was an attempt to prevent the damage. Throwing stones at, and hitting, the attacker. The attacker could not be dissuaded, and kept up his assault for eight hours. The incident even caused a traffic situation in front of the house. The damage consisted of: 1) The loss of about two inches from the left horn. The broken piece is on the work bench in the garage. 2) Hoof scratches on the side of the Bison. 3) Some chips in the right rear hoof. 4) Blood stains behind the Bison. The statue was also moved eight inches forward. There was an attempt to center the statue on the pedestal, but to no avail.
