  7. As soon as anyone hears the possible dates for GFest9 be sure to post 'em. I'm booking my vacation and RV right away
  8. Hey, it's better than Family Circus .... well, except maybe for the ones at this site: http://www.drivenbyboredom.com/gallery/gallery.php?x=26
  9. And as an answer to a great all around game, they proceed to be consistent and BLOW a game that they should have won. I'm glad I PVR'd it and could skip through the pain quickly. First period was pretty good with the SH goal by Sundin and the work of Antropov. The rest was shite. I'm telling ya, there's money to be made selling brown paper bags to wear over your head down at the ACC.
  10. Who's running to Syracuse tomorrow! I'm sure it'll be a hotter ticket than ever now. They had a pair on eBay the other day, 5th row center for face http://cgi.ebay.ca/Phil-Lesh-and-Friends-Tickets-10-21-07-Syracuse-FRONT_W0QQitemZ320171653572QQihZ011QQcategoryZ16122QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

  12. Here's a better video clip of the Ottawa performance with Arcade Fire on State Trooper: http://media.brucespringsteen.net/non_secure/videos/071014_1S.mov A video of Magic from the ACC performance and a bunch more can be found here: http://www.brucespringsteen.net/news/index.html
  13. Yup, I bought a first edition Jerry Garcia tie at that Marshall Field's back when they first came out and we were catching some shows at the Gahden. I think it makes a great point, and the message simply being why the fuck do people get up in arms about something as trivial as a store name versus some serious issues that are more valid to humanity to protest. Same thing could have been done showing voter numbers for elections in the US and American Idol. It's a 4-panel strip ... what more could you cram in?
  14. Just looking up a couple of things on setlist.com and saw that they had tons of great photos from Grateful Fest this past summer. Saw a few faces that are from around these parts : http://setlist.com/GratefulFest2007/#F5
  15. Thanks for the download! I'm really digging this album right now too. It's getting a few goes tomorrow for sure. Here's some links that Warner Bros. sent out tonight:
  16. Oh my! I can't WAIT for these shows to get here.
  17. Real quick: I had a blast at this show. We ended up with 4th row tix with a killer view of all the playing going on up on stage. Larry Campbell is fucking incredible! He makes it all look so bloody easy. The Low Spark and Dazed and Confused teases were a treat ... just too bad we didn't get to hear them fleshed-out a little more. You forgot one tune that was a def. HIGHLIGHT for me, first set right after Big River: Leopard- Skin Pill-Box Hat Campbell, Green, Lesh and Molo were having a BLAST jamming on this one. I've never heard a better version. Campbell let Green go off for a bit and then schooled him with his expertise playing his own licks, then Molo and Phil tweaked the tempo a bunch of times just to see if the guitars could keep up with them. They all had shit-eating cheshire cat grins on their faces ... and so did I. Shea's bar knows how to make a mixed drink too ... the gin and tonics were served like doubles and only $4 Gotta love the dollar at par Had a great time groovin' with PhunkyB and her buddy for the entire second set ... i never used my seat the entire show since the whole place was hoppin'.
  18. I'm outta here ... Anchor Bar at 4pm Adam's Mark for preshow drinks See ya there!!!
  19. is that the guy I used to go to Kevin? sounds familiar. Al, YUP same guy. I've been going to him ever since you introduced me to him. Great mechanic ... i just wish he was closer to my place
