  4. If you buy 2 tickets, here's how you can get the second at HALF PRICE: Get 2 of the "Q Club" tickets with the promo code MONEY Ka-ching
  5. I think the only time the Dome was open for a concert was for Bruce Springsteen & the E-STreet Band. What a show. It was so nice having it open on a beautiful summer night. And, the sound was really good too.
  6. That'd be VERY NICE! I'm jonesin' for my Phil.
  7. Phil Lesh's New and Old Friends Phil Lesh celebrated Independence Day weekend by hosting an intimate show at Mill Valley, CA’s Sweetwater Saloon as part of a weekend long Homeward Bound project. The gig featured a new group of friends, including longtime drummer John Molo, guitarist Barry Sless, Particle keyboardist Steve Molitz and rising Monterey, CA guitarist Jackie Greene. The ensemble ran through two sets of music over the course of the evening, including a show opening “Bird Song,†Greene’s “Ramble On,†the Allman Brothers Band’s “Midnight Rider,†Ryan Adams’ “Let It Ride,†“Viola Lee Blues,†“Eyes of the World†and a show closing “Casey Jones.†From the stage Lesh also dedicated the entire evening to ailing RatDog guitarist Mark Karan. Stealth Lesh As previously reported, over the weekend Phil Lesh hosted a Homeward Bound BBQ near his home in Ross, CA. Adding to the weekend, on Saturday Lesh performed an intimate show at Mill Valley, CA’s Sweetwater Saloon with John Molo, Jackie Green, Barry Sless and Steve Molitz. The following day Lesh and his “great friends" Molo, Green and Sless played a surprise gig at a private residence for those who participated in his Homeward Bound benefit. The setlist learned heavy of Dead staples like “Good Morning Little School Girl,†“Bertha,†“Deal,†“Friend of the Devil†and “Franklin's Tower,†as well as the second cover of the Allman Brothers Band’s “Midnight Rider†in as many days. Meanwhile, Molitz skirted off to Houston, TX for the next stop on Particle’s summer tour with 311 and Matisyahu (it is also worthy to note that while Molitz played with Leah, the rest of Particle hosted a jam session at Austin’s The New Club under the name Below Radar). Lesh currently has no scheduled tour dates.
  8. 'Shroooms? Zoomers? Anyone? Bueller?
  9. Randy Newman ... LOL ... the guy has written the same song a thousand times . I remember laughing my ass off when I first saw the Family Guy episode that poked fun at him:
  10. This station's "news" is such a friggin' joke
  11. Much like the fact that so many westerners are all for the preservation and saving of the Mountain Gorillas. Many of them (gorillas) live within the borders of Rwanda. While there was ethnic cleansing happening at an alarming rate there, there was more interest by people on the other side of the ocean about a handful of gorillas. Now, I'm not saying that the preservation of animal species is wrong at all. I'm all for it. However, by trying to see these examples through the eyes of a local in those areas who is destitute, poor, running for their lives every day, etc. the spending of money by foreigners on non human-aid projects would seem like a huge slap in the face.
  12. Yup, that version just ground to a halt. It was with Zero and Kimock even tried to get them to jam it into another song when he took a vocal.
  13. LOL ... good stuff. We'll have to ask Rich if turtles like bananas
  14. LOL ... that was Bryn, the Manny with Moobs!!! Glad you liked the treats. Damn fine, huh? You can thank our lovely neighbours from Chi-town for that going away present How was the "banana bread"? Look out Rich! Here come the turtles
  15. I think that more often than not, anybody is likely to lie about engaging in an activity that is still technically illegal.
  16. And these stats are all based on the "honesty" of how big a study group in each of these countries? I always wonder about the broad claims these reports claim based on the data they collect.
  17. Shitloads of pics if you look here: http://flickr.com/search/?q=grateful+fest
  18. There was a vendor who chose to make 7-7-07 Kids Hoop Day. Kids were allowed to go to his booth and make their own hoop for free. What a kind gesture. Here's a bit of a parade they had for them. It was led by the "sound" wagon (so cool, a guy uses the bottom part of an electric wheelchair as a locomotive to pull this wagon pimped out with amps speakers light system, etc.)
  19. Midurty said: A show I haven't seen anyone mention yet was the Greyspoke show. I thought they played okay in their first set, and spectacularly in their second set (including 'Mighty High' with Rob Barraco and Lisa Mackey). Well here it is:
