  1. I know there are some fans here, so I thought this would be of interest (at least hte Apostle of Hustle portion): Hey, hipsters…From Toronto, it’s Apostle of Hustle (Andrew Whiteman of Broken Social Scene), recorded at the Rivoli in Toronto, celebrating the release of their second CD. Later, listen to the 85-member York University Gospel Choir in their rousing year-end concert, recorded at York University's brand new Tribute Communities Recital Hall. Airs Saturday, May 12 at 8 p.m. on CBC Radio 2’s Canada Live.
  2. Cool. Thanks AD. Didn't know that one.
  3. on the "endless groove" on vinyl. Repeated forever if your turntable didn't automatically shut off at the end of the side. Just before that starts you can hear a very high pitched noise, supposedly it's at a good frequency for dogs!! So, the side is ending, you're dozing off, then your dog goes nuts and you start hearing "Never Could See It Any Other Way" until you get off your ass to turn it off . They should have filled up all that empty space at the end of the CD with that, instead of just a few seconds Did any other recording place material on the endless groove?

  17. I hope he gets the axe too, however, they'll probably give him the year and he'll make yet another stupid decision (like miss out on a key free agent signing in order to keep Mats, and then have Mats declare retirement right before the season starts due to his condition). I don't have much confidence as you can see .
  18. extra time ... TERRAPIN STATION
  19. they are so good to see live. They pay particular attention to sound quality (Rob Eaton is a sound engineer) I can't wait for 4 nights in a row of them at Grateful Fest (along with all the other killer bands that will be there )

  21. http://cellar.org/iotd.php Undertoad Tuesday May 8 08:29 AM May 8, 2007: Paris Hilton autopsy art [sorta NSFW] Suggested by Cloud, thanks! She's not dead, and we actually don't wish she were, except that we do wish her career as an abrupt an ending as possible. With her recent jail sentence, we all fiercely enjoyed a judge wiping her little trademark smirk right off her face. It may be at least the end of this phase of her fame. Other than that, you are familiar with the drill: what we have here is art, a work by one Daniel Edwards; at least that's the pretense for presenting this Paris Hilton model. It's shown here as a pre-finished form clay model. The completed item will feature an abdominal cavity, which people can reach into and remove her internal organs. The entire thing is wrapped in a theme, as the woman is to have died in a drunk driving accident. Quote: Paris Hilton's naked "corpse" could provide an invaluable service to students preparing for prom this season. An interactive Public Service Announcement featuring the graphic display of a tiara-wearing, autopsied Paris Hilton with removable innards is designed to warn teenagers of the hazards of underage drinking. The display also features Tinkerbell, Hilton's forlorn pet Chihuahua with matching tiara, and debuts in the trendy Williamsburg, Brooklyn neighborhood where prom-goers frequently dine, courtesy of Capla Kesting Fine Art. "Campaign to Rescue Women of Youth" featuring "The Paris Hilton Autopsy" offers a cadaveric nude Paris Hilton, laid out with twisted body and opened abdominal cavity on a coroner's table, while her cell phone remains in her grip. The 'unglamorous' display which includes support material from Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) counters "the disturbingly glamorized trend of Hollywood's 'girls gone wild'," according to gallery director, David Kesting. And there's a twist: Quote: With Paris's legs splayed in stirrups for postmortem pelvic examination, the "Hilton Autopsy" tragically reveals drunk driving's heartbreaking collateral damage - a "double abortion" of fetal twins discovered in her uterus. The exhibit opens in Brooklyn on Friday.
