KevO I have never heard nor ever seen that LP.
-
Wow.
When I saw this announced, and Diana Krall was opening and it being a benefit I thought it might end up being a 45 minute performance so I passed on the expensive tickets.
I could not be more upset with myself this morning.
-
Thanks for the info BR. I'm still hard at work and didn't have time to research. There must be a back way from the venue to the mountain that I couldn't see from my vantage point on the access road.
I'd like to just buy tickets now but I'm not 100% sure where I will be in August. It sure would suck to buy these and then be working in Colorado.

My radar is starting to focus in on The Peach Music Fest http://www.thepeachmusicfestival.com/ Anybody ever been? The fact that there is a water park is a huge plus for the kids.
I drove by the Toyota Pavilion today. The physical building reminds me of Darien mixed with Blossom. It is one of those 'circus tent' coverings in a very natural area. I didn't see a water park, but Montage Mountain ski area is right there so maybe that is where it is. Other than the hotel / lodge on site at Montage, the other hotels are a good 2 mile drive down the hill. Is there camping on site at the ski hill? I'm guessing there must be. If so the whole thing may be very similar to Mountain Jam except it is a seated plus GA lawn type venue.
I'm really hoping the lineup is solid because I will most likely be in the area for work anyways, and short of the River St Jazz Cafe in Wilkes-Barre, nothing ever happens near here.

Catch it on your favourite PBS station this evening.

what.cd has been on and offline for weeks. As I type this it is currently still down. There was a statement posted about unknown DDoS attacks last week.
-
That was surprisingly easy.
-
It is working fine here, but I'm wondering how the hell they are doing this?
-
Wow. Thanks!
-
Now, if the band would just play Stash tonight.
Your wish is my command.
Happy birthday Todd!

These three were my recent favorites from the music genre:
Bill Graham Presents: My Life Inside Rock n Roll (although to be honest I probably skipped most of the first 100 pages. I wasn't really interested in his upbringing or middle school endeavors)
Poseur- A Memoir of Downtown New York City in the 90's
Love Goes to Buildings on Fire: Five years in New York that changed music forever
-
If you can't find it here it doesn't exist:
-
If anyone decides to go to this and would like info on good campgrounds, hotels, restaurants etc. I have been in that area working for a while now.
If my project is still running in the summer I will be going for sure.
-
While the e.p. containing it just came out, I think my favorite song of the year is Springsteen's Drive All Night as covered by Glen Hansard with Eddie Vedder and Jake Clemons.
If this doesn't move you, nothing will. Ever.

Are these all Eric M recordings?
-
This is going to make those jerks in Fergus feel foolish for not having you win that open mic contest.
-
If we can't get him out of office then maybe at least hit him in his wallet a little bit.
-
I can only hope that they get out of the courier business and sell Purolator Courier back to a private company. Service has been on a rapid decline since CP got their mitts on it.
Rural business owners rely on Purolator and its getting dicey to trust them at all.

Houndmouth - From The Hills Below The City
Yeah this one too for sure. The show I saw this summer with them, Alabama Shakes and Johnny Fritz (Corndawg) was an unexpected highlight of the summer.
-
I love you J.
-
They will play Toronto- this is just the first batch of dates. The guy who ran TURF (Jeff Cohen) also runs Lees Palace and The Horseshoe and is a big fan.
They have played TO more than a few times now including a 2 night stand to finish their tour in Sept 2009 which was EPIC!!
