That was a fun set. I caught a touch of Jake Bugg (who was much better than I expected- kids got a lot of song in him) and Stars during the numbers that didn't suit me, but kept going back for the ska.
-
Tokyo Ska! .
Their drummer appears to be Japans version of Keith Moon.

Ontarios West Coast is pretty messy. I saw many huge downed trees in Goderich, Brucefield and Exeter while I worked today. Fortunately for me, the magical dome over Bayfield was operational and we only got the rain.

Dave O = Donald Trump
And yes fuck Dan Mangan, but not so much for being a dick but for taking Subway sandwiches out of the mouths of much more deserving artists. His music is the worst and his live show isn't much better.

I'm taking my first plunge into backyard gardening this year (well my first that I can show my parents or the neighbors).
The plot is about 20 x 10, nearly full sun from 11ish til about 7 or 8 for most of the summer, and the soil drains well. It was used a few years ago and left to get weedy (regular garden weeds- see the first part of my post).
There is lots of info out there, but I really appreciate this boards ability to be concise and share local knowledge.
I guess I'd be starting with the usual suspects: tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, beans etc.
Whats next?
-
Thick cut ham, smoked bacon, lettuce tomato, sprouts, pineapple/ jalapeno salsa, lemonseed poppy dressing, .
Its a form of a cuban I had in the Keys and its amazing if you like sweet/ salt / hot combinations/
-
Glen Hansard!

I think, given the success by members of this board, that the thread title should be edited and "SCAM" removed.
This was one of the easiest and least stressful ticket sale promotions of recent memory.

If you live in ACC country and you follow college basketball, chances are you have some strong opinions about a man named Karl Hess. And chances are, those opinions are negative. Hess is a referee (the same way that Napoleon was in the military), one that was always destined for the grandest stages and the brightest lights. Karl Hess is notorious. Karl Hess is infamous. Karl Hess is KING.
His modus operandi is simple: stealing the spotlight in any and every game he officiates, and making blatantly awful calls in huge situations. His style is so controlling and aesthetically depressing that we're all compelled to notice the man in black and white. Now and again, he pulls off truly spectacular stunts. There was the incident in Raleigh, for instance, when he ejected N.C. State legends Tom Gugliotta and Chris Corchiani from the premises for heckling him. In that case, even the head of ACC officials admitted Hess was wrong. This year, Hess managed to line up UConn and Marquette facing the wrong direction at the start of overtime, incorrectly disallowing a UConn basket in a game Marquette would go on to win.

We got Section TBA1 for the May show.
I'm hoping the Toronto ticket gods remember those PTBM lawns I got when I receive my Stones mystery tix.
-
So, when or how do we find out where our seats are eh?
You will get your seat locations when tickets are handed to you at Will Call. Basher did notice that there are sections 1 thru 5 on the ticket notices. I wonder if 1 means you get the best of the mystery seats or if the #s are totally random.
-
Wow this almost seems too easy. Do you think they are using this "promotion" to get rid of the surplus of seats that just aren't selling/ they predict will be hard to move? You would think that half price Stones tickets would have sold out right away, but now its starting to feel like its a moving target. I bet the promoters would love to announce that all shows sold out in one day to boost interest in future dates and this is a sure fire way to do it.
Or should I take off my tin foil hat?
-
I am seeing two for both shows right now. Go Get Em folks!
-
The link that Basher posted on facebook took us right into the $85 option. One click and we had a pair of them. It was remarkably easy compared to the onsale for that Vermont quartet a couple of weeks ago. For nearly the same price!
-
I wish. What a show!
-
I was wrong and THANK YOU Basher. Your facebook post link worked like a charm. 2 x $85 seats purchased!!
-
$500 allows you to bring a beer to your seat. Ugh.

If one of your friends claims to have picked a perfect bracket this year, it's same to assume he or she probably lying.
DePaul mathematics professor Jeff Bergen calculated the odds of selecting all 63 games on a bracket correctly. Based on his math, the phrase "long shot" is a major understatement.
• Odds of someone randomly predicting a perfect bracket: 1 in 9,223,372,036,854,775,808
• Odds of someone predicting a perfect bracket if he or she knew basketball: 1-in-128 Billion
