Which brings up a mostly unrelated question...how is it that the Bloc, a party that is fielding candidtaes in one province, is allowed in to the debate while the Greens, who are running candidates in every riding, are not?
The Bloc is a main political party - As far as I know it's because the Bloc are hugely represented in parliament (even though they are only in Quebec!) and even more so then the NDP does federally. I'm sure if the Green's won that amount of national representation they would be included as well. However, I'm not sure what the cutoff line is to participate.

For what it's worth, a great film, nice and politically charged.
I need to see Syriana.
I need to see Syriana as well...I thought Munich was good, but not the best movie i've seen and yes, defenitly politically charged. I thought that the angle it took was interesting as it focused more on the political element (Israel defending its right to exist) rather than just retaliation against the terrorism in Munich. It also showed the more "human" side to cold blooded killings (if such a thing really exists) but rather that the Mossad agents are in fact human beings and do break down mentally because of the type of work that they engage in - and that killing is not just senseless as in any video game. Defenitly a movie that makes you think about things.

I honestly thought it was just "M".
Lookin forward to the 24th!

"Funk Me in The Dome" is all going down on January 13th 2006 at Club Dome in Montreal.
We're playing with some great acts that night like God Made Me Funky, Shane Philips, and Free Oxygen
This is actually a two-shows-in-a-day for us, as earlier that afternoon we'll be jamming it out in a heated tent on McGill University's campus for their annual back-to-school beer bash, SNOAP.
If you're in the Montreal area...come on out! We'd love to see you.
Peace

sounds awesome. do tell more about the trip!
Ah, so much to tell that can't be written down in a messageboard entry. All I can say though is that Ecuador should be given some consideration to anyone who plans to travel through South America. I wouldn't stay as long as I did, but would give about a week or so to it as their are lots of beautiful things to see and do: The Andes, the coast, the culture. Going on a bikeride through the Andes was defenitly a highlight.

Hola messageboard amigos,
I just returned from a month travelling in Ecuador - such a crazy trip. For the last few days we spent chilling out on a beach called Montanita. here I realized that there is nothing better than chilling out and watching the tide and listening to Leo Kottke. So relaxing. I must have listened to the "Leo Live" album several times. So if you're on a beach, grab some Leo, and chill the fack out.

But what if their instruments are lethal weapons of mass destruction?
Like this guy? His 'soul gun' (aka guitar) is defenitly a powerful weapon.

"Suicide Terrorism" - Ami Pedazhur
It's an acadmeic analysis of the history, causes, roots, and social psychology of suicide terrorism. This has been a topic (on a purely academic and political level) that has always intrigued me...looks at it's development as something which began in Lebanon that turned to a world-wide phenomenon.
