First round there were 48 of the 56 possible games played or 86%. Second round there were 20 of the 28 possible games played or 71%. If we get 3rd round sweeps we are gonna have 8 of the possible 14 games played or 57%. Not a lot of fucking drama since the 1st round and a whole lot of crushing going on. Going by the a grading standard 1st round was an A, 2nd a B- and the 3rd a D+. Well the Habs came back from 3-1 in 2004 and Minnesota did it twice in 2003 but just from the last two games you get a feeling Biron is not going to lose 3 in a row by any stretch of the imagination.

Failing to convert on a huge break away, blowing the 5 on 3, and scuffing the paint job on the framework more than a few times was a tough way to go down. Carey's .750 save percentage was pretty fucking weak - he might need a rest (mentally). Dominating a third period where the other team is up by 3 and sitting on a hot goaltender isn't anything to praise god over either but I still think the Habs were better overall. Habs are doing way better job of staying out of the box and that should continue through out the series. Habs in 7.

I ended up watching the Stars vs Sharks game even though I vowed not to but holy shit, Zubov's pass to Modano on the third goal was incredible, a cross ice laser beam - so good. Fucking sick. Watching the Sharks turn the puck over so many times was good for the soul.

Great game by the point guards last night with their time split pretty evenly. Really good to see TJ turn around his shooting woes. Moon brought a lot of energy. Still a little hurting from the game 2 loss but Saturday should be fun.

I didn't get a chance to watch much of the Stars vs Ducks. Honestly I loathe both francises but I'll probably be leaning towards the Stars. I think my enjoyment of the Sharks vs Stars series will be obfuscated by my hatred for sports teams coming out of California and Texas. RAIDERS SUCK (yeah, I went there Booche)

I'm all about the sexy. I don't think anyone is saying they don't like the Pens vs Rangers matchup - I think it's going to be great. The only matchup I really could care less about is Sharks vs Dallas.

I agree about Wings vs Avs - that's going to be a good one. I hope the Sharks and Stars cripple each other so one of the other teams can advance. You've got to be kidding me if you don't think Pens vs Caps would have been the shit. Either way I love the playoffs.

I liked the potential matchups in the West a lot more as well. I could have watched Avs vs Stars and would have loved to seen the Wings vs Flames not even to have a Canadian team in it (which would have been awesome) but just for the conflicting styles. Wings vs Avs is still going to be interesting.

Last night was a painful night in sports for myself. (but I thought the Caps/Philly game was amazing) We went from a potential... Habs vs Rangers Pens vs Caps Wings vs Flames Avs vs Stars to.... Habs vs Flyers Pens vs Rangers Wings vs Avs Sharks vs Stars Good for the Habs but I liked the other match ups so much more. You're not going to catch me staying up to watch any of the Sharks vs Stars. To top it all off I channel flipped my way through a fucking crushing Raptors loss then Pheonix goes down. Every team I was pulling for went down - thankfully I was hammered. PS I've always fucking hated JR
