I (almost) always love to gig, but I just can't tell you how excited I am to play this Saturday. It's been a long time coming; aside from the fact that we haven't gigged in well over a decade Bob Loblaw has been rehearsing for this for eighteen months now. Add on three extra rehearsals this week and I think we might actually play some of the songs right.

I'm confident this will be the best Bob Loblaw show ever, we're gonna rage it up right, I've got a new (borrowed) guitar that I absolutely adore to play for the show, and I'm giddy with the thought that some of you folks are excited to see us play as well.

On top of all that I get to see the new configuration of one of my favourite bands open the show.

Anyways, I'm having a hard time containing myself and just had to post.

Can't wait for Saturday.

Sure makes me appreciate Norah Jones a bit more.

Yeah, there's a place on Bank Street north of Gladstone that used to be some sort of restaurant.

Who will win in the ultimate cage match between Velvet and Phorbesie?

The two of us have registered to climb the steps of the CN Tower on April 21st to raise money for WWF, but the true reason behind our registration is the challenge to see which one of us will make it up the 1776 steps first.

While I have experince on my side having climbed the tower steps before (in 2007, my time was 25:56), I also have about 120 extra pounds on my side as well.

My legs are strong but Phorbesie's health is overall better. She has grit, I have stamina. I have a weak heart and she's got the good looks.

Heavily in my favour is a lack of scruples that could very well lead to body-checking on the stairway.

Who will make it to the top first?
