So we're gonna set up and play on the patio at Quarters this Thursday night. Quarters is the bar in the basement of the student centre at Mac. Our friends the Old Youth - who are from Sudbury but are on their way back from a tour out East - will open up. They're a great band with a Thrush Hermit-type sound, very raw and East Coast-style. If it's looking like rain we're going to play inside in the pub part. No cover. Set times to follow.

I'm particularly happy with this performances, it's way better than the one we recorded last year. Still a little raw (it's live after all) but all the elements are there I feel. My friend Max wrote the tune and I think it's a monstrously heavy song.

What a lame, half-assed review. I was at the show too, on the floor. Thank god for earplugs! The light show quite literally blew my mind...and I work for a production company where the lighting department is twice as big as the audio department, and I've seen all the fancy new lighting things. Or so I thought.

Anyway this show was all about Danny Carey for me, it was a treat to see him play. It was super heavy and rather tripped-out, and I was very nearly crushed a couple times by a massive moshpit that opened up in front of me, but it was all in good fun.

We're just negotiating that Sari, I will update when it's confirmed. You'll have time, though; sets will probably be 10-11-12, and we'll either be middle or last.
