  1. Do you ever notice the clock on your computer at 4:20 and wonder wtf you're doing working in an office in front of a computer?

The whole 4:20 thing is pretty arbitrary really, but it just happens to be the thing that triggers me onto that line of though.

My 4:20 thought of the day...

  2. I've found that pretty much everybody I meet has vastly different musical tastes than I do. Occasionally I'll be surprised by wicked tunes at somebody's house. Usually I tolerate what they've got playing because I am there visiting them, not to listen to their music collection. If someone cut off tunes at my house, I'd be PISSED. At theirs... whatevah.

Anyway, the real question (IMHO) is whether you were judging him as a person because of what parts of the Dead he gets into. If you were - you're a snob. If you weren't - you're not.

  3. Dude,

I really hope that this post gets you where you gotta be - Queen's Day - Amsterdam - April 29 - 30. Best two days of the year you could possibly visit that city!!!

Amsterdam is a pretty small population - about 1 to 1.5 million people. Imagine every last one of them out partying in the streets. Live music, art displays, vendors of "everything" under the sun.

Then imagine another super-amped one million dutch from all over the rest of holland visiting an already packed Amsterdam.

Great vibe. Great people. One of the best parties around.

    Go.

  4. I haven't spoken with the owner about cover. None of us in the band care about making money off it - we've told him we play for beer.

I think he mentioned back when I first spoke with him about this show that he usually charges $2 then that's the band's $$ - we told him we just want beers so who knows what he'll do. Maybe he'll put that toward our bar bill :-)

  5. If any of the Ottawa skids are looking for some pre-Wassabi / pre-Spades entertainment, my band is playing our first gig in Ottawa tonight.

Corduroy Road (5 piece) does bluegrass standards with a slight bluesy twist and some bluesy twists with a bit of bluegrass flavour.

We're scheduled for 9pm at the Rochester Pub. We'll be doing 2 sets. I'm hoping to escape in time for the end of Wassabi myself...

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

    TF
