I'll be interested to hear people's thoughts on Shortwave. My buddy is the keys player and I haven't been able to catch any of their gigs.

I think their style of music is not very jammy, but from the limited selection I've heard they're pretty tight.

It ain't so bad right now as they don't seem to be partrolling too much. I ride my bike to Ottawa every day and cruise through a section that is closed to bikes (why is beyond me - its gravel). I've been warned by locals that the NCC will get me but they haven't yet.

I try to be respectful of the erosion concerns and of other pedestrian users when mtn biking. But realize, that even if you are respectful, they'll still ticket you if they catch you...

I was listening to the cbc yesterday morning. There was a great long stretch where they were talking about an old WWII and Cold War era military machine. This machine was developed to detect homosexuals so they could be purged from the military and civil service.
