    Info on the Chameleon Project-->

Thoughtful improvisations and interesting textures. Music that digs in and gets urgent, and then becomes flowing and pastoral, sometimes in one song. A type of modern psychedelia played by jazz musicians on acid, to sum up. In essence, a cool party where we just happen to be playing. The overall vibe is paramount. -The View (Hamilton 2005)

    Info on Lazlo Hollyfeld....

Lazlo Hollyfeld formed in the winter of 2001 in a small room in the

heart of downtown Buffalo, NY. Bassist Chris Gangarossa and

keyboardist Scott Molloy began it all by trying to focus on creating a

purely instrumental sound based on the ideas of simplicity,

improvisation, and dominant rhythms and textures. After several months

of writing new original material, guitarist Jeff McLeod was added to

the mix. And, drummer, Matt Felski. The result was the creation of a

new original instrumental quartet rooted in the ideals of post-rock,

    breakbeat, ambience, and free improvisation.

  2. You should really check out more Earnest Ranglin. He is the Wes Montegomery of Jamaica and has played on nearly every earely period reggae track.

He recorded a reggae classic "My Girl Lolipop" which is considered by many to be the birth of Reggae.

Don't sleep on this legend. :)

  3. hey Jaydawg,

forget about Hot Tamales; if you really want to bring in the crowd, you should work on reuniting the Zit Remedy!! Joey+Snake+Wheels together again, showing the Tdot what rock is all aboot!

I second that emotion! i love the original Degrassi like Tyrone Biggums loves the rock! :)

So I'm fairly bummed out out a work today

and by sheer random fluke I run across this quote by Dell (a roughneck cab driver Gary busey played in teh 1983 comedy DC CAB)and I nearly laughed out loud.

Totally hillarious and it holds a grain of truth...even if it is misoganystic.

Dell: "Why are women are so uptight? They've got half the money and all the pussy."

Allman Brothers bassist Berry Oakley dies of a brain tumor after being thrown 20 feet in a motorcycle accident.

    [/quote']

    ?

I simply cut and pasted this text from Allmusic guide. I assume what they meant, was Oakley got hit by the bus, survived, went home and subsequently died from the tumor/anurism/hemmerage the crash brought on.

Any whcih way he's gone which is too bad for sure.

  6. November 11, 1972

Allman Brothers bassist Berry Oakley dies of a brain tumor after being thrown 20 feet in a motorcycle accident. The crash occurred just three blocks from where bandmate Duane Allman had been killed the year before.

This is insane. I've dreamed about this. I actually asked Sco in person one time about this and he said he really digs Phil but the schedulling never worked. I guess now's the time!!!!

I've got tickets for and hotels for both shows!!1 AMAZING! See you there!!! :o:o:o:o:o:o:):):):):):):):)

  8. I have been to the windy city many times for live blues. Firt, go to Buddy Guy's club Legends, it's right downtown and always killer.

Another good place is called the Hot House, very nice and quality entertainment.

Finally check out the Kingston Mines. A very old bar that used to host the likes of Howlin' Wolf and Muddy Waters.

    That's my 2 cents Enjoy.

But go check the METERS! WOW!

The Chameleon Project's overall sound can be described as follows:

If you were living in a 1970s vision of “The Future†(think Logan’s Run, Rollerball or Star Blazers),

this is the band that would be playing in the spaceport departure lounge as you prepare to rocket off for a weekend of zero gravity golf. -Tribe Magazine
